In One to One this week, Elspeth talks to a fellow piano teacher, Andrew Cheale. He also teaches maths, science, physics, sometimes one to one with children and also with groups of older students.
She quizzes him on what he feels is the essence of a good teacher, and finds he really wants to know how each student ticks. In fact psychology is very much a factor, especially in teaching individuals. I think anyone who is concerned with teaching whether from the parents or teachers’ point of view, will find this podcast stimulating and affirming.
