In this One to One with Elspeth, she discovers that East meets West here in St Albans. Her guest, Wan Gi Lee, has come from South Korea to head up the Salvation Army in St Albans. Having grown up in a Christian family in poverty and facing some persecution, he is not used to our affluence here. However, he stresses that the Christians in South Korea are stronger because of what they have been through.
Also we are reminded that the Salvation Army holds the leader and his wife as having joint leadership, and he is here with his family. Wan Gi has a lot to say, and shows us a different and helpful viewpoint on our British life as well as his heart for mission alongside other Christian groupings in St Albans.
