In One to One with Elspeth, at this time when there’s almost Christmas present fever, she talks to Simon Gee about a rather special foodbank in St Albans called FEED. This is a way that the church can practically show the love of God to those who haven’t got enough, and are finding life really difficult.
We hear how over 150 guests come each week. To provide this service means teams of volunteers, who sort the crates of food coming in, help guests choose food in the shop, serve drinks and food. Furthermore, they check that the paperwork is OK, and there is also a team just to sit and listen to all the problems our guests have.
