Mental Health Pandemic, how you can stay healthy or get help & Sandridge 10K

The COVID-19 pandemic has shone a light on mental health in a way that may never had happened. Dr Richard Pile tells us about how we can stay healthy, recognise signs of struggle in yourself or those around you. He also signposts us to several places that we can go to get help.

These include mindfulness: get started with the Calm app (on Android Google Play and iOS App Store) and/or Headspace app (on Android Google Play and iOS App Store); or you could visit the Living Life Better website.

In a mental health crisis you can call 0300 777 0707, a service run by Hertfordshire Partnership University NHS Foundation Trust (HPFT), more information on their website.

Also on this week’s show, Emma from Sandridge 10K explains how the event is still going ahead, albeit in a very different form to a normal race. If you would like to find out more visit their website, or get in touch on instagram @sandridge10K.
