With Simon Carver finally hanging up his cinematic spurs after over 11 faithful years of service, the Film Guide is back with a new presenting team. This week, celebrated local author Howard Linskey is choosing the films and he starts off with a look at new releases in the cinema and on Netflix. As is our custom, Howard concludes with his choice of films to watch on UK free-to-air TV.
However, he has squeezed in a new feature – Too Good To Be Forgotten. Each time Howard hosts, he will share with us a classic film he feels we should watch (if we haven’t already). He starts things off with the UK gangster classic ‘The Long Good Friday’.
