Thanks, and well done, on this much needed clarification on the situation of the historic Ye Olde Fighting Cocks. Such a storm in a teacup. I’m sure many St Albans residents, like my6, have taken visitors there over the years. Many, from around the world, were concerned that it was closed for good and were amazed that that could happen. Many people, not knowing how our tenancy system works, thought donations might save it. Aa you pointed out, it was never going to close permanently. Such a shame people’s concerns were raised by something that was misrepresented and never going to happen. I suggested to your fellow presenter ****, who seems to have no idea about the pubs situation, but he hasn’t indicted that he has intended to your podcast and now has a better understanding!
I lived the other bit of #goodness on your program@St Albans Road Train. Keep up the good work!
Hi Tom, thank you for your comments, they are appreciated. However, **** isn’t one of our presenters, nor is he connected to the St Albans Podcast in any way.
Kindest regards
Hi, thank you so much for the correction, much appreciated. The item on YOFC had the Herts Ad reporter say each edition of the YOFC Times cost £25k. This seems ridiculously high. £2.5k sounds more likely. Are you able to clarify?
Keep up the good work.
The amount is correct. Apparently, the price fluctuated but the most expensive edition cost this amount. They were aiming for a distribution of over 30k
That’s incredible!
Thanks for the clarification.
