Elspeth has discovered that although folk dancing has been popular from the 17th century, it’s still alive and kicking now, not only in this district but right here in St. Albans. Called Friday Folk, the group meet at Marlborough Methodist on Friday evenings and newcomers are treated as part of the family. and you don’t have to come with a partner. Sometimes there is live music, and skilled callers from other areas, and sometimes it’s led by experienced members of Friday Folk. Bob Barrett tells Elspeth all about it.
